Thamesians went into last weeks game against Haringey having won the previous three league games, confidence was sky high... too high perhaps.
Ts started very well and got off the mark quickly and after a number of good phases of play were rewarded with a penalty which they opted to go for the corner and start a driving maul which worked a treat. 0 - 5 to Ts. George Flatman adding the extras. That is not a typo. Gorgeous George aka Beyonce has a half decent boot on him.
A couple of mins later, another penalty, same result. Beyonce hooked the kick.
That is really about as good as it got. Complacency crept in and we let Haringey into the game and they didn't need to be asked twice. Whilst Ts were low in numbers and several players playing out of position, that was not the reason we lost the game. Too many missed tackles and an inability to adapt to our new systems cost us the game. Credit to Haringey they took full advantage.
