With the mens’ first team beating Actonians 46-5, and the seconds thumping Northolt 88-14 to win their league, Thamesians Women completed a high scoring weekend by running in eight brilliant tries against close rivals Eton Manor.
Games between the two sides are always close, but T’s came flying out the blocks, with three quick tries and there was no way back for the visitors, despite their strong scrum and competitiveness at the breakdown.
Emily Powell dominated the lineout, providing some excellent ball off the top for the backs to exploit with some superb inter-passing and support play.
Amanda Neivens, Sydney Hayden-Fry, and Emelia Arbouine scored two tries each, with Amber Sheppard and Poppy Knight completing a great day for the backline. Amber also kicked six conversions, with Tabby Young adding two more to complete a memorable victory.
