Emelia Arbouine scored a brilliant hat-trick as Thamesians Women came back from 31-19 down to beat a strong East London side on Saturday.
Emelia put the visitors ahead in the first minute, thanks to a typical break by Emily Powell, back at No 8, but still selling outrageous dummies.
And the tries kept coming, with EP and Tabby Young crossing for Ts, while the home side used their pace out wide to score five.
Thamesians ‘refuse to lose’ attitude won the day, however, as they tightened their game and took control of the second half.
As the T’s forwards began to dominate, especially at the breakdown, tries by EP, Amber Sheppard – who also kicked four conversions, Sydney and Emelia swung the score from a 31-19 to 31-43.
Vixens did manage one late score, their only one in the second half, but Emelia ran in another long-range special for her third and T’s eighth to complete an excellent away day.
Once again, Vixens were first-class hosts, and we look forward to welcoming them to Twickenham in January.
Thamesians: Amber Sheppard; Kia Hayman, Stefania Randazzo, Sydney Hayden-Fry, Poppy Knight; Tabby Young, Emelia Arbouine; Aminah Olaniyan, Amber Attack, Amy Parker (Jessica Lee-Marshall), Becky Blanks, Penelope Procter, Lara Miller, Courteney Ellis, Emily Powell, Jess Warrior.
