Thamesians Women 33 v 10 East London Vixens

While England’s men could only manage one try down the road against Scotland, Thamesians Women ran in five – four of them converted by Amber Sheppard - for an impressive bonus point victory over East London Vixens.

No 8 Emily Powell and scrum-half Emelia Arbouine linked for the first two scores, with EP making the break to put Meils in, before Meils returned the compliment, cutting through the Vixens defence to give EP the scoring pass.

Amber Sheppard scored next, followed by Hannah Jacques, who also put Izzy Baker over for her first Ts try.

With Ts three hookers all working, Tabby Young, switched from centre to front row. Holly Brindley made her first start in the second row, and was soon putting in tackles like her mum, Sarah.

Ts also welcomed Charlotte McGregor back from her travels on the other side of the world, while Sinead Law showed her potential on her debut.

Thamesians: Rosie Cairns; Kia Hayman (Poppy Knight), Hannah Jacques, Sydney Hayden-Fry, Amanda Neivens (Sinead Law); Amber Sheppard (Izzy Baker), Emelia Arbouine (Capt); Aminah Olaniyan, Tabby Young, Becky Blanks, Holly Brindley, Charlotte McGregror, Courteney Ellis, Samantha Watts, Emily Powell.

T’s next match is at home to Chesham on Sunday March 9. As always, your support is really appreciated.
